  1. What is your favourite 'micro-adventure' route starting from your own front door? 🚲 Let us know in the comments below, and tell us: would you be brave enough to spend a night in Conor’s tiny tent?

  2. I love my bivy/tiny tent. I have an OR advanced bivy. Full Goretex so it's great in the cold and wet. It was my obvious go to small shelter. However, now I picked up a 6 moons designs single pole tent and even if I bring the inner mesh portion, it's significantly smaller and lighter. So now the OR stays at home unless I am worried about my footprint or temperature.

If I were into urban camping the bivy would be the obvious choice, however mine is blue, so it kinda defeats that feature lol.

  3. Oh! You are the chap who raced an electric cargo four wheel bike up the hill in bath… A couple of videos ago 😳
How has Google youtube sent me these different videos?

  4. Perfect. This is great training for multi day events. learn what works, what doesn't, and gets the process for set up and set down in your head. All this AND you get to have fun as well.

  5. Hey! Since you are a strong cyclist… Have you heard about the British Human Powers Flying Club? BHPFC
I.e. cycling pedals hard with wings attached!!! The technology has become so much better these days and…. There maybe a British World Record still availlable

  6. Having owned a similar sized Goretex bivi tent with a hoop I can tell you they are quite claustrophobic especially when weather/ bugs are bad. Being able to sit up/ crawl around in a tent makes it a much more pleasant experience. I now have a Naturehike Cloud Up 2 which is affordable, palatial in comparison and I wouldn't go back to a nylon coffin.

  7. I always look forward to these GCN videos, coming along for this adventure (virtually from Monterey Bay CA) was truly enjoyable. Conor’s joy is infectious (per usual). I smiled start to finish. Oh! hahahaha, bread & Laughing Cow cheese! absolutely 👍

  8. i have that same bivvy tent, and its great in dry weather, but its not the same in heavy rain. i take a DD hammocks superlight tarp to cover the bivvy.

  9. Coffee making us the ultimate cliche of every bike packing video. Mug, stove, pot, coffee maker and beans? Not minimalist. Minimalist is just biking down the road to a cafe

  10. Yes Conor, I do venture out from my garage actually not front door and ride west out of Santa Rosa to the North Coast of California along Coleman Valley Road to spend the night at Bodega Dunes and watch the sun set into the Pacific. I've always loved bike packing and it's great to see others enjoy it too without trying to tell me I am doing it wrong or there is a better way. Just ride and enjoy the adventure. I don't think that was a hook in your tiny tent. But a loop to secure the door or mesh when you roll it up. I have a camping candle l like to use for light. Keep on brother!
