me on the waterford beer truck (no beer just sandwiches) and my hill crushing grandfather with his class 1 e-bike. Chill 20 miles, highly recommend if you want to take a bike & hike trip as there are quite a few trail entrances along the parkway. back soon to enjoy the nice weather & (mostly) courteous drivers. sandwiches were leftover flat iron steak, mustard, onions, lettuce, and caramelized onion marmalade(the star of the show).

Wonderful… I’m fortunate enough to be able to ride multiple approaches to the parkway from my front door. My favorite loop is up the gravel (FS5000), keep climbing over to Brevard NC / 276 and down 276 back to another gravel rd, FS1206… reasonably “big” loop, a little bit of everything and a stop at the Pisgah Inn camp store on the way.
