  1. They both look too big. Downsides are flapping, rubbing, and chafing. Bibs should feel compressive.

The cut of these products is intended to snug/athletic/tight. You will feel some compression, without overly constricting breathing and movement. This supports sweat evaporation, heat transfer and prevents rubbing.

What’s your preferred style? If you prefer “club-fit” or casual loose jerseys then you might need to look at other products or brands. There are many options. However, bibs should always have some compression and feel tight. You don’t want the chamois moving around between the seat and your body. I’d return the XLs and keep shopping.

  2. I usually make fun of people on this forum for saying things are too big….but those are both at least one size too big

  3. You need to sit on your bike in the riding position really. My guess is it will be baggy at the front.

  4. That is going to chafe really bad. Really really bad. It needs to be tight, and it is made to be tight. General rule of thumb is to follow the sizing charts and break out a tape measure.

Bib is definitely too big. It’s loose on your knees. I know it sounds tacky, but invest like 80-100$ for a good sized bib, not the cheap ones. Never saw such an uncommon design… a bib that is loose downwards the knee is a crime.

    Edit:
The jersey is not a big problem, I too have one that’s a bit loose. Put your phone and heavy stuff in the back pockets, when the jersey pulls to your ass, it’s too big. If not, it’s alright for casual wear.

Everyone said it I think. Everything is oversized. Almost snow pants looking my friend.

  7. Your size is clearly not XL. Even L might be too large for you.

Jersey clearly looks like it is 2 sizes too big. Bibs are oversized also.
