Hello!!

Just experienced my seatpost slip after a 70km hardpack gravel ride.. Was wondering if anyone else had this issue on a BXT Gravel 135 frame, not sure if it was the grip paste that I used as its a generic China gripper paste.. I torqued the seatpost clamp to 4nm.. Any tips on what should I be looking for? Whenever I put grip paste on the seatpost it just scrapes off whenever I put it back on the frame because of the bery tight clearance..

Any help/tips are greatly appreciated!

  1. Put the paste both on the post and in the receiving tube. Sometimes it takes a few applications for it to settle into place. Had a similar issue with a few bikes and it does resolve just takes more paste and application in the right spots.

  2. Just check the seat clamp 🗜️ gap lines up with the cut out in your frame. Carbon paste, 5NM is the norm on carbon post, bar stem bolts.
