No more sweaty back. Also now twice as easy to ride a manual the whole way to work 😂

How does it behave in strong winds?

I’m glad you like it. If this was my set up, I would make sure my seat post was inserted well past the minimum insertion line. Going so far as to get a longer seat post just to make sure. Because these types of seat post mounted racks/bags/etc… put a lot of force on the seat tube and I would want that force spread out as far along the inside of that seat tube as possible.

A couple of principles. Low center of gravity is desirable. Cantilever forces are undesirable. Having said that I’ve made a few seatpost racks out of scrap wood and they do function. This is me taking a break during an ironman competition.
Hope that backpack is pretty light. Otherwise it is putting a lot of torque on your seatpost in the wrong direction.

The length people go to not add a rear rack is wild.

Out of curiosity, how do you mount the bike? I have always been a “throw a leg up and back and over” type—this would clearly not work for that approach!

How do you swing a leg over? Or do you connect the bag after you’re already standing over the frame?

That’s an excellent setup….if you have a tailwind.

Isn’t this setup top heavy, compromising handling?
