I hate this seatpost more than any other component I’ve ever owned in my life. This clamp design is so fucking bad. And with the rail angle on this SMP saddle, the front screw bottoms out before it’s even possible to get the right angle. If this seatpost wasn’t $$$ I’d take it outside and smash it into a billion pieces of shit. Fuck this seatpost

Thompson all the way not too expensive but very nice and light too
Love that Selle smp f30 I want one in brown, how do you like it -comfort wise?
Is this a proprietary post with a spec unique to the frame? If so, this is yet another affirmation as to why one should avoid such designs.
You should be able to flip the lower cradle depending on the angle of the seat. Does that not help here?
I’m not surprised that the seat clamp is giving you trouble. Of nearly all the components, seat clamps have most often humiliated me even when no one was looking.
I replace seat posts with the ones with integrated lights.

Maybe you should read the instructions.
Honestly I’ll trade you for my 3T puzzle trap
Sometimes we have to let it all out… I can really empathize with OP!
I literally threw one away because I couldn’t inflict that horrible, horrible design on anyone else. That and the fact that most of the pieces scattered when I flung it across the garage.
This seatpost blows, been using them since forever unfortunately. Aesthetically they’re good looking. Lately I’ve been opting other carbon seatposts with a more streamlined way of adjusting. ZIPP SL speed and Ritte/OTHR makes a fine carbon seatpost without neaderthalic ways of adjusting.
Tbh Enve should just bring back the single bolt adjusting style. I’ve never had any issues with it slipping. I also use the same Enve hardware to this day in my Ti seatpost with zero slippage issues. I’m glad someone said it, this double bolt seatpost hardware blows.

This one can be annoying if you aren’t aware of the orientation. Otherwise it’s trouble free.
Take a look, move some pieces around and chill. Take a safety meeting and revisit.
