Requesting assistance assembling my cassette. Trying to slap this on a XS State Titanium. This is my first build but I've worked on my other bikes a bit with some experienced help.
I cant seem to tighten the cassette onto the hub. It just spins freely. I believe I need to use the spacer. Is there any plastic parts I need to take off the cassette to get it to fit?
Secondly, should I take the fork off to run some foam cable silencer stuff through the frame? Is there an ideal sequence of events to assemble this? I have a go by I got from Chat-GPT.

Isn’t your cassette a Shimano HG freewheel type cassette? That could explain your problem.
Xdr freehub , not compatible with the HG cassette.
Wrong cassette for that wheel / freehub. I think you need a 1275 instead of the 1270, but I’m more on the road bike side.
Hahahahaha. I love using AI but if you aren’t a subject matter expert this is the result you will get. The xs-1270 is the only transmission cassette for hg freehubs. It only works because of the extra offset in chainline.
Fortunately onyx uses dt350 style freehub drivers so you can pick up an hg 350 driver body for cheap on Amazon or Ali. Otherwise you’re shipping parts back and hoping someone will swap the cassette or driver body for you.
