Saw it in a G Line Facebook group, thought it's worth sharing in a more public forum. 5000 miles/ 8000km, rider is maybe 90-100kg. He noticed the crack after feeling a low tyre pressure sensation in the rear.

The bike is modded with a Rohloff hub. Not that it would cause this crack, but could be a reason Brompton rejects it for a warranty claim. He's going to try to get it warrantied anyways. He clearly loves the bike (the mileage and the Rohloff!) so hopefully Brompton do right by him!

My p line electric also had this problem.
Luckily I got a new triangle within warranty.

There seems to be rust around the crack, wonder if there was a lot of internal corrosion there.

  3. That means the left hand side triangle would have been cut. I am keen to have this done by kinetics but feat something like this happening too.

Same position as the other cracked rear triangles on the P lines, seems Brompton need to beef it up unless they already have with a rolling change.

  5. What torque range are you talking about?! I don’t think that a tiny bicycle is comparable to quadzilla’s sprinting machines. Also very first time to see steel failure
