I'm replacing tires (tubeless), one wheel needs to retape (the picture with the purple valve). The other one is fine as is.
Does it look like I need to replace the entire valve(s), or can I just replace the core?

Why do you need to do either?
Just replace the core. You can get the tool and a bunch of cores on Amazon for cheap.

It looks like you’re forcing the valve into the rim hole as far as humanly possible. You really don’t need to do that. Just tighten down the ring snug, and let the air pressure in the tire do the rest.
You need to remove the valve stem to apply new tape. No wearing parts in valve stem, replace cores if they don’t hold air.
you can replace just the core, but my question is, is it leaking? if no, why replace it? maybe you don’t need to replace anything
