  1. Finally! This is type of "hiking" I can do too! Bicycling is the best! o/
As someone who has problem with high impact stuff that jolts my joints and spine too much. I'm fine while doing it but often pay the painful price next couple of weeks after.
I'm envious. I want to do this too.

But I gave my folding bike away, because the city I live was way too hilly for it. And I had to get an ebike, that still needed to peddled to work, to go multiple kilometers to my job at the time. Now I just can be outside longer with ebike because I don't over do it. So it was a good trade off, but still… Kind miss that folding bike a little now… Until I remember it didn't have any gears.

All that been said… I moved to a city surrounded by forest and water ways, or more like town build from 3 different villages. You have to go cross the river by nice biking bridge when you want to go just to town center… Every day roads here are healing.

  2. I would so love to be able to do that – it looked gorgeous. Not so sure about the cold beans, though…… 😁

  3. Folding bikes might not be as efficient as regular size, but they look exponentially better! The smaller wheels make it look so satisfying somehow, like some fundamental geometric ratio is closer to perfection. It might just be me πŸ˜€

  4. Just a shame our greenways can't be double-tracked with a useable narrow gauge railway like the little Suir railway in Waterford. Seems like a gigantically missed opportunity.

  5. One of my mates changed the rocks saying nice day for a walk on Crough Patrick to… well you can guess what to! Our tutor went up after us, came back down, knew exactly it was one of us, and sent him back up the mountain to change it! Had my 17th birthday in West port, what a mess and got the minibus stuck in the sand on a beach on Achile Island. It was a great collage trip to Ireland back in '98 πŸ˜‚

  6. It just amazes me how much you had that to yourself. If you bike any of the Seattle Greenways or Rails-to-trails, you're dodging joggers, other cyclists, bike commuters, and Grandma walking her dog in the smack middle of the trail

  7. The Greenway stars out in Westport Quay, if you start from Westport town itself it's a distaster to find because there are so many bike lanes and they don't all go towards it! Also, in Clew bay there are 365 Island. And one of them (Dorinish Island) was indeed sold to John Lennon. My grandfather was the auctioneer who did the sale.

  8. Look forward to your seaweed video, woefully under-utilised product with all manner of uses, not just food but bio-plastics and carbon sinks and all sorts. It's something we ought to be doing a lot more of here in the UK too, though admittedly we'd better stop the whole "oceans of effluence" situation first.
Beautiful area to ride through, and that greenway looks like such a quality of life improvement. Great that you can fit the bike in the tent too, that'll alleviate a lot of security concerns camping with a larger bike.

  9. Beat you on the beans Steve, I use to eat cold beans over 40 years ago when camping. I still remember the first time my mate Danny came with me, and after just one night he went out and bought his own tent πŸ˜‚ πŸ’©

Great ride buddy with beautiful views and footage (Bloody shame you didn't get to see Metal Mickey in the pub) looking forward to part two.

  10. Baked beans cold from the can, now that's iconic camping food for anyone native to the British Isles. Happy childhood memories πŸ™‚. Follow it up with tinned peaches for the full experience.

  11. Internet, AbbvVie makes the name brand Botox which is the dominant brand and has become synonymous with the treatment. Ispen makes Dysport, Merz makes Xeomin, Hugel makes Letybo and Medytox has their own versions.

AbbVie employees 1500 of Westport’s 7000 residents and growing.
The Orange fella across the pond has been pushing for company’s like them to move to the US but thus far AbbVie has no plans to shut down and move.

  12. if you liked that Greenway one place you'd probably like is the island of OlΓ©ron in the bay of Biscaye, it's entirely navigable by bike and very pretty (and fun fact it's where i chipped two of my teeth while cycling, so always wear a helmet kids)

  13. That was very interesting Stephen. Love the bike, but not the brooks saddle you were using. The scenery was spectacular too. Go safe and keep posting, one of my favourite YouTubeers.

  14. Fantastic! Enjoyed the video and the views. The green lane looks great and has me thinking of taking a trip just to cycle it. Awesome editing and shooting!πŸ‘πŸͺ‚

  15. I still have no idea why there's a Paddington in a town on the extreme west of Ireland. The only one in the country too. Anyone know why he is there?

  16. Achill Island – one of my favourite places of Ireland. I will come for a short visit when I am abroad. Awesome video Stephen! πŸ™‚
