Good video! I've used the Oxford Protex Stretch for years on my bike, and I wouldn't use any other now. Completely waterproof, and the stretch makes it easier to get on and off. It also 'grips' the bike tyres making it much less likely to blow off. In fact, it's never blown away even in gales over the years when I've neglected to clip it closed underneath.
Tru tension is very good
I think the manufacturers painting giant logos on these covers defeats the purpose trying to make the bike less noticeable.
I’ve had a succession of Stormex and Protex over the years, both last around 3 or 4 years before failing. Stormex goes brittle while I found the protex taped seams fail and fall off the inside causing leaks. I accept everything has a shelf life so not a criticism. When replacing my recent Protex I took a punt on the Taac Hydroscud and have been really pleased with it so far. It’s very water proof but much thinner material. It feels built to last but the Oxford ones will probably protect things falling on the bike more. A good cover is so important if you don’t have a garage. Good to see there’s more choices now
I have the stormx pretty decent cover. The feature I miss most was on my OEM ducati cover a zip on the rear making it so much easier to put on and off
No covers for bikes with windscreens?
Honestly I wouldn't spend loads on a cover as even the most expensive ones are done after 2-3 years outside £30-£50 is the sweet spot.
Been riding bikes for 54 years , and have always used the stormex pro , but I found a couple of years ago car covers do a motorcycle cover just a good , had mine for 3 years now , wash and re-proof every year and it’s excellent and £30 cheaper 😊👍👍 ps it doesn’t use welded seams but rolled over seams double stitched like sails , welded seems do come apart after a while 🤪🤪
Definitely worth covering up a RE
Hi do you do a stormex pro with topbox or is it just the stormex that has the topbox feature
I’ve been through most brands but can anyone recommend a cover to use in hot climate . Highest up rating possible? See through panels go brittle and seam taping melts . Rain protection not so necessary!
Firoj bro❤😂🎉
Stormex only for a year lifetime👎🏻👎🏻
I have 2 stormex, one nearly 5 years old, one just over 2 years. The newer one delaminated most of its seam tape, the older one is fine, when i asked oxford about a discrepancy in quality control they weren't interested in any dialogue
How do you prevent condensation after being under the cover?
The Riderr Hurricane is the one to go for, starting with that one completely shadows everything else
Edit: I'm kinda stupid ngl
