Hello, I need an expert opinion. I've noticed some poor shifting for some time now (especially in the middle 6-10 section). I took a few photos of my cassette, which has over 5,000 km on it. Can you tell me if it's worn enough to cause poor shifting?

how often have you replaced your chain?
It’s looks immaculate, but you need to check it with a device designed for this purpose. A chain checker
I wouldn’t be surprised if after that long, you’re having shifting issues.
Dont ride your e-bike in the smallest cog all the time.
your casette looks factory new except your prefered gear.
Check the chain, check the indexing of the derailleur and check your gear cable. What exactly do you mean by poor shifting?
Chains stretch over time so do gear cables.
Your derailleur hanger might be bent. That’s a very common cause for poor shifting in some middle gears.
Looks like a cassette that has never seen lubricant
5,000 km isn’t too long for a cassette especially if you’re taking care of it. I’m guessing it’s likely your chain is old. Could also be a bent hanger
Who is the manufacturer of this cassette?
Cassettes from AliExpress and new ones don’t switch very well.
i’ve worn out several cassettes without noticing shifting issues.. just chain slipping under heavy load.
Hey, I’m a mechanic and can tell you this cassette is in good condition and 5k is nothing for a steel cassette. The simple rule is 10k for a chain and 30-40k for a cassette or until you see major signs of wear, depending on your weight and average power. As others pointed out it could be due to a bend mech hanger or wrong setting on the b-limit screw. Even though it seems like it’s only effecting the biggest ring it can also affect the rest of shifting if the cage is too far away from the cassette.
Yes but also that cassette looks very good, wear likely isn’t the issue.
5000km only on the cassette or also the chain? If you haven’t changed your chain, that would be the problem.
Chains and cassettes wear out together, work well together until you change one of them and not the other. They no longer mesh because one is new and the other worn. If it’s just the middle gears, try replacing the hanger as others have said.
