Sadly, another day: another bad advert for pro cycling! Miles and miles with virtually nobody intertested in racing; another big crash and then a bad decision as to when to restart the race in the last few kilometres. "Things can only get better" as they say. JP, Cheltenham.

Vingegaard is still on the realistic side of cycling. Unlike Pogacar who wouldn't be caught in a situation like this.
It almost appeared "staged" the way the trio of breakaway riders allowed the chasing pack to come up & contend a sprint win.

Typical Vinge move, doesnt have the balls to go through and just rides behind others. That is the difference to Pog. Cant stand Rob Hatch anymore, he is overdoing it with the names.
Pogacar would not have thrown away the victory like Vingegaard did here.

All these crashes, with close-ups of blood, are great for encouraging parents to put their children in cycling clubs. The UCI needs to look into this recurring problem of the last few years; it's a real bloodbath!

Perfect execution by Astana. One of the sharpest and most entertaining teams the past two seasons (2025-26). They always have a great team and tactics for these kind of situations.
