Looking to get my first bicycle and don’t wanna spend too much up front like most first time buyers lol. Don’t know much about older bikes and their worth, anything I should look out for? Anyone got experiences or knowledge of a bike like this?

Great bike in its day, and still ride pretty nice. It seemed overpriced for a bike that age, but it has quite a few upgrades, and new tires would cost 100$ by themselves.

I bought a 2005 as my first foray into road biking. I paid $400, so maybe you could talk them down a bit. Great bike, I still use it as my indoor trainer. You can’t go wrong with this bike.
