Used this Bontrager Ion for about 3 years commuting 7 miles to work, 7 miles back on my Kona Lava Dome. Must have died in storage idk but I’m considering a Knog Blinder rn but if the community has any other recs, I’d love to hear em. I was considering slapping my Acebeam on a picatinny mount but I really don’t want to BLIND anyone or destroy it in some form or fashion from riding.

Not sure if this is your style but I’m using a Ravemen FR500 on an out front mount. Plenty bright for my early morning commutes and has different brightness/flash settings. Also has a pretty great auto on/off feature and charges with USB C.
I used it all this year for some pretty wet PNW commutes and have had no issues with water ingress.
Second Ravemen. I have two of them and they are great and show you battery life as well. Mine can charge phone and other devices off the light battery too.
After my Bontrager died, I have two headlights these days.
For darker conditions, where I need the light to see without blinding others, I use a MagicShine EVO1700. It has a decent beam pattern, although sometimes it feels rather narrow. The battery life is as advertised, but it is not the longest lasting.
For daytime conditions, I have a Lezyne Macro 1400. It is very bright, and I would avoid using it for night time. My commute takes me though industrial areas where bicycles aren’t a common sight, so being noticeable is very important. It advertises 100 h battery life on daytime flash mode. I have not tested it to its limits, but it a whole week’s worth of commuting 10mi each way is less than 50% of the battery capacity.
I highly recommend the [ROCKBROS Bike Lights 10000mAh Rechargeable Bike Light 3000 Lumens](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CS5KVHM9).
It’s the brightest headlight I’ve ever used. And it can charge your phone while using it.
I bought a second one too so I can charge my phone even longer since I’m out for 6+ hour rides sometimes, and have both mounted on a [ROCKBROS Bike Handlebar Extender](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BV5WLK1F))
I use both lights when I’m riding on trails and it’s completely dark. I call them my Deer Blinders.
Outbound Lighting Detour. Has a cutoff beam so you won’t blind others, very well made light. I broke mine in a low-speed collision with a pole, they gave me a shipping label and had it fixed and back to me in like 4 days, their warranty policy is basically “Be nice and we will too” and they support right-to-repair.
I just bought a knog set because I also needed a better tail light, and also I didn’t have a great flashlight by my bed in case of power outages and whatnot, and the headlight makes for a good handheld light, too. I LOVE my blinder. It’s everything I want in a bike light and its form factor is pretty unique which I like cuz then you can use it as a flashlight really easily.
Anything with a vertical cutoff.
After my lezyne died i tried to find a light that had no internal batteries to crap out on me.
This lamp from znex can run on any usb powerbank. Importing from germany but I think its wort it.

If you had a Moon, you could just replace the battery with a new one. Standard size cell, easy to find.
And otherwise they are also very nice lights.

Sofirn BS01. Have used mine for 5 years.
I read the first sentence and thought I accidentally landed in the Death Note subreddit
Knog blinder
I’ve used a Cygolite Metro 500 for the past 8 years. It doesn’t hold as much of a charge as when it was new, but it’s still going strong. I think the latest model is the 800, and you can get it in a package with their really good hotshot tail light.
[Fenix](https://fenix-store.com/collections/bike-lights-bc-series/products/fenix-bc26r-bike-light) headlight BC26R. You can easily replace the rechargeable batteries, so you won’t have to repost this question anytime soon. I liked mine so much i bought a second for my junker bike too
Highly recommend Cateye front lights. Great with compatibility so different generations of mounts they make still work with the new stuff. Lots of light settings and built durable. I recommend anything off their catalog 500+ AMP
Nothing compares to the outbound lighting detour for performance versus Price

I got this pretty nice one called Ziren on Amazon. Not that expensive. Has a bunch of different modes (solid/“breathing” fading mode / strobe which I never use / etc) and also built in electric horn that’s super loud for cars to hear
nite rider is legit
Knog PWR Road if you can find them; they stopped making them but there might still be stock out there. It’s a modular system and I own multiple light heads and batteries.
I like my Olight RN 800. Check out the post in my history. Idk how to link the post on mobile, sorry.

I’ve never had an issue with OLIte.
Cygolite zot. Still going strong after 10 years of commuting in the sun, rain and snow. It’s no thousand lumen light but it’s more than enough and it’s reasonably priced
Magicshine. Lots of good lights to choose from. I like the hori + evo series, think it’s the direction good lights will be moving to, ie pairing head and tail lghts, remote switch. Good mounting options with computer.
Very affordable as well.

12v around 1000lm diffused Stedi 4×4 work light connected to a small rechargeable battery pack, Temu dimmer / flasher unit, and motorcycle on off switch. Small Moon Orion light as backup and for bike paths. Effective in daytime too. Knog 100lm rack mount light on rear. Cygolite Hypershot on handlebar extension.
