  1. Sure it’s not a rim issue? I had some wire-bead racekings that were an absolute bitch to get on and off. When I eventually swapped the wheels I went to put the racekings on the new rims and it was so much easier, those other rims must have just had a slightly larger diameter.

Pedros has a lifetime warranty on their levers! Hit them up and they’ll send you fresh ones. Bike looks good though!

The tires look good, but it sounds like they might not be the ideal fit for your wheels

What’s your rim tape? Tubeless? How many layers? Sometimes tires just don’t want to get over that last hump, but make sure the rest of the tire is centered in the center channel and you’re not overdoing the tape. That being said, those do look illegal.

I’ve gotten pretty rough with my Kool Stop bead jack when mounting tires and somehow haven’t broken it yet.

    Are you a silverback gorilla?

Man, you better pray you never get a flat while out on a group ride!

If it’s tubeless ready rims and tubeless ready tires, mounting can be hell.

I rarely even need levers to mount a tire and I had the fight of my life two days ago and my thumbs still hurt tonight… I ended up using levers and a lot of soapy water and it still took me nearly an hour to get both on.

I’d give you a high five for getting them on finally, but my hands hurt and yours probably do too. So let’s just nod in agreement. 😛
