  1. In fact Russia or back then the Soviet did not defeat Nazi. Nazi was defeated by the US. If the US was not dragged into the WW2 after Japan attacked Pearl Harbour, the entire world minus the American continent would have been ruled by the Axis powers. Maria Zakharova issues threat to evacuate Kiev then Ukraine can also issue threat to evacuate Moscow.

  2. Ukraine should send a thousand drones but zero bombs to make the point that they have the capability at their fingertips but have chosen not to bomb the civilian population.

  3. shoigu seems to be already condensed a treat and taken care of 2 years ago, check out "Purges in the Russian Ministry of Defense in 2024" wikipedia page for more, but basically, he transitioned to a nominal role with no resources or people under his control and his people in ministry of defense went to jail, now he probably has a grudge, but no way to do it in his own, can't order president arrest as a secretary of "we give president advice" council

  4. Sneaking in a cell of drone pilots into Moscow with a hand full of FPV’s could single handedly change the course of history

  5. Ukraine has become much stronger the last 6 to 12 months and it will of course exploit Russia's low density air defences outside of Moscow around May 8th and 9th. Moreover, the tone within Russia has shifted the last two months or so. Z-bloggers, officials, members of the public and others, have spoken openly about the Russian army being unable to reach its goals while Ukraine is striking oil facilities on a significant scale.

  6. 4:15 Well, not that they care about who’s “in the right”, but perhaps there is some undecided state who may be accepting both Ukrainian drone protection and Ukrainian grain, though one of those via Russia.

  7. "Gee William, we appreciate the rigour, but with so many 'ifs and buts,' it's hard to take game theory's predictions seriously—respectfully."

  8. Ukrainke isn't going to attack the parade, the optics are very bad on attacking a civilian event. Ukraine isn't stupid.
The chances of getting your intended targets ( Putin and other government and military officials) is very low. Any attack would involve slower drone munitions and short range missle systems that would need to be positioned hours before the actual attack. Far too much warning time. Completely reduces possibilty of removing important players by the attack. Any victims would most likely be civilians. Not the result you want.
Attacking the parade would enrage even Russians who think the war is idiotic. And Russian propagandists in the West would have a field day condeming the attack.

  9. What if a Ukrainian attack on the parade wasn’t an attack? Don’t send drones with explosives, send them with loudspeakers blasting the Ukrainian national anthem and dropping blue and gold paint on the parade route.
No Russians die, just a lot of embarrassed generals.

  10. Does russia have enough military to do the parade? Or they will use civilians.. Either way, ukraine will have fun crashing the party.

  11. Shoigu is actually only half-Turkic—his mother is/was ethnically Russian. Maybe that makes him a potential coup threat? After all, many ethnic Russians have some Turkic ancestry even if its a great-great-great grandparent.

  12. Dr. Spaniel, perhaps the recent nationwide hack of Canvas is a good opportunity to apply game theory to something very much tangible for college-aged audiences? Just an idea to throw your way if you ever want a change of topic from geopolitics

  13. The fact that Russia is too weak to win the war against Ukraine and the West behind it doesn't mean Russia is wrong. There have been serious crimes and terrorist acts commited by Ukraine towards the eastern Ukraine and the Russophones in Ukraine all these years starting from 2014 and after, undet the tutelage of the West of course. So this fact doesn't change. It's just that probably Russia is too weak and Purin too incompetent to win. But who is to blame for this whole mess it's an easy one. The West played a dirty dirty game against Russia and that's a given. Like it or not.

  14. Ukraine you just lost 28 Ukrainein people do to Russia Booming 💥 of the innocent people of Ukraine, Boom 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 the leaving shit 💩 out of Russia especially on Russias victory parade .
