Sheffield city centre Townhead and Leopold st no car zone cycle lanes.
I start at Hawley st to show the Pennine centre old HQ of HSBC. I then walk from the top of Tenter St onto Townhead St to show current and present passing Campo Lane.
I show how connecting Sheffield active travel seems to penalise the disabled, cars and trade. While promoting cycling, private hire and buses.
I then crossover Church st, West St, Pinfold St, Leopold st to show current and future.
Then onto Leopold st to show current and future. Showing the current Fountain precint which was the Grand hotel Buccaneer pub, then Pigh and Whistle, Fountain Bar and now Bessemer.
Townhead st and Leopold st cycle lane plans.

Deserted of both crowds and soul.
I used to go in there when it was the Pig and Whistle.🙂🐷
We got cycle lanes at Wath near Tescos. Hardly ever seen a cyclist. £££
Sheffield built on seven hills yeah great idea for cycling 😂 who’s he laying down having a kip 😂😂
Think it was the Buccaneer that was under the Grand. That building was, not sure if it still is the Steel City Plaza I worked on there when it was being built.
This is only displaying in 155 quality
There is cycle lanes the length of Denaby, I walked them last week and never saw anyone walking, nevermind cycling Tim.
And they wonder why Sheffield is dead and will not recover from this
killing ?…more like killed like the elders by the masked riders
The government gearing up for sheffild city centre for mass social dispersal to private accommodation paid with public funds, just a theory
That's where the car place Sytner was which is now just off the Wicker area , so it's student accommodation now . WOW
They are just making it impossible for the disabled elderly and infirm to navigate their way around Sheffield city centre ,! 😮
I just remember it as the pig and whistle , in the 1980s that was my era
Tim, Sheffield will continue to deteriorate as long as we have the Red Jessie's ensconced in the town hall, and the pub was the Buccaneer good days now sadly missed.
Funny how you don't see homeless people on artist impressions! 🤷🏻
"What do you think of these changes to the city centre? Is the #ConnectingSheffield scheme making it easier to get around, or is it becoming too difficult for cars and taxis? Let me know your thoughts below! 👇"
