Sheffield city centre Townhead and Leopold st no car zone cycle lanes.

I start at Hawley st to show the Pennine centre old HQ of HSBC. I then walk from the top of Tenter St onto Townhead St to show current and present passing Campo Lane.

I show how connecting Sheffield active travel seems to penalise the disabled, cars and trade. While promoting cycling, private hire and buses.

I then crossover Church st, West St, Pinfold St, Leopold st to show current and future.

Then onto Leopold st to show current and future. Showing the current Fountain precint which was the Grand hotel Buccaneer pub, then Pigh and Whistle, Fountain Bar and now Bessemer.

Townhead st and Leopold st cycle lane plans.

  1. Think it was the Buccaneer that was under the Grand. That building was, not sure if it still is the Steel City Plaza I worked on there when it was being built.

  2. Tim, Sheffield will continue to deteriorate as long as we have the Red Jessie's ensconced in the town hall, and the pub was the Buccaneer good days now sadly missed.
