  1. What has he done to it? Looks like he has attacked it with an angle grinder…

I’m just wondering what did he do to it. Maybe try to fit some piece of steel on the grooves or weld it on.

it’s a delicate operation, but I’ve solved this problem before by using a hacksaw to carefully cut the bottom bracket into sections and tap it out with a punch. you definitely have to be very careful of the threads and I would recommend using a tap to chase them afterwards. glhf

  4. If all else fails there’s always the judicious use of explosives I guess.

Can you use a long, flat piece of metal in the slots he has cut to unscrew it?

It’s a threaded bottom bracket, not pressfit, right?

Looks like somebody already tried who had no clue what they were doing and/or were using a cheap ass tool to try and remove it. Basically whoever tried to take it off already cooked it

I have a better question you should be asking.

Do you want to be responsible for this bike?

Is this bike even worth the ammount you will need to charge to cover your time?

JB weld in the bearings. Blind bearing puller through the inside, clamp that down and see if it’ll unthread as usual.

Be sure to charge for time on this repair, not book rate.

Get a flat screwdriver and hammer the metal sleeve out standing on the side with the plastic still in. Than get e metal saw and saw very carefully into the plastic holding the saw parallel with the bb. Do this in two spots about 20mm apart and carefully pray it up. Than you can remove the rest safely

It is a delicate process, but should get the job done.

On a skateboard, you usually put wiring of the truck into the bearing and then scoop it of the wheel. Or put a flathead in and see if you can hammer it out, seems it has a tiny ridge.
