Discover Rouen, France – the historic gem of Normandy! ✨🇫🇷

Inspired by Flaubert’s Madame Bovary, I had to visit Rouen, his birthplace. 🤓

This charming city is full of history, culture, and stunning architecture.

Top things to see:
🌟 Rouen Cathedral – famously painted by Monet
🕰️ Gros-Horloge – a medieval astronomical clock
📜 Place du Vieux-Marché – where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake
🏘️ Half-timbered medieval houses
🎨 Musée des Beaux-Arts – featuring works by Monet & Caravaggio
🚤 Seine riverside walk at sunset

A perfect mix of history, art, and French vibes — a must-visit in Normandy!

Thank you for watching!

  1. Wow that city is very beautiful as is a lot of France, certain parts of the city remind me of a place called Lavenham in Suffolk UK. 😊 🇫🇷 🇬🇧

  2. Why do people say “fall in love” — is that like an angel falling from heaven? Or falling into a well? Why haven’t I thought about this before. (Makes note to research phrase)

  3. It’s a bit sad that half of the town was destroyed by World War II bombings and hastily rebuilt in concrete, but what remains of the old town is a medieval gem. =)

  4. Absolutely enchanting! Rouen looks like a city that tells a story on every corner 🏰✨ The mix of history, culture, and architecture is truly mesmerizing 🌸 Thank you for sharing this beautiful journey! 📸
