Hey friends! I’m gearing up for summer training and I’m interested to see what you guys are working with? I’ve been tinkering with my fit as of late, and still trying to find that perfect combo of bar shape, cargo space, and comfort.

I’ve been out of the game for a while, but I’m making a conceited effort to fully get back into it over the next year. When I was more active in bikepacking and taking long trips, my rig (🥰) had a Whisky No.9 24F 46cm bar, and Profile Designs aero bars with an 80mm stem. My REI bar-bag fit well, with plenty of extra space to tuck my sandals into the side pockets and still have room for lever actuation.

However, since overhauling my fit and ride style, the bars that feel better are now somewhere between 38cm-40cm on a 100mm stem, with a 42cm feeling extra wide. The bar-bag still fits between the levers on the 40cm, but it’s snug.

I guess I’m just wondering what you guys are running on your rigs! What do you like about it? Are you a flatbar ultra-distance suspension rider? Or are drop bars the only way for you? Comfort over cargo?

Redshift kitchen sinks with the loop, tons of hand positions and places to mount things. Aero type position takes a bit of getting used to but you can simplify the cockpit. Also great to mount things on with a voile and a can do attitude
