Came back to my bike parked outside after work and realised as soon as I started riding the rear wheel was flat, could this have been a gnarly puncture or do i have to assume someone sliced my tyre?
For context, I do ride a fixie so theoretically I could have been skidding over something sharp but I skid very rarely

That’s sliced. A puncture wouldn’t have left such clean cuts in the tire’s internal threading. You can even see how the knife/have moved.
As much as I hate to I feel like it’s foul play? Something that size ain’t a slow leak you’d have noticed that before you got to work unless you’re skidding around the parking lot at lunch
Looks like a slash. Your tube would have popped immediately if you rode over something so sharp to make that big a cut.
The ex strikes again!
Not slashed. Delamination blowout.
I think it just went boom 💥
It may be that the area had previously hit a pothole and the rim edge partially cut the interior casing. Then long afterwards the casing eventually failed.
I’ve had bike tires that just exploded
Just a failure
