  1. Hmm… I’ve got the same front rack for the August trip and have the same fork, but I didn’t try to install it yet. Seems I’ll have the same issue too.

  2. Probably it’s posible to attach a loop closer to the bars end to make it less inclined.

  3. You sure you got the correct eyelet/mounting point? Isn’t the eyelet where you currently have the fender used for the rack?

(Use one of the 2 holes on the left (front) side of the rack on that eyelet, and mount the mudguard on the right hole of the rack which you currently use to mount the rack)

  4. Tubus has a guide, but tbh on my Straggler to make the hanger tube fully horizontal, the spacers would need to be massive, the U tube would need to be spread a lot and still it wouldn’t be a great fit. I haven’t experienced any problems with like 10 kg in the front and with a slight inclination of the hanger tube.

I had similar problems mounting a tubus and not having it interfere with the quick skewer. After trying everything I could think of, I ended up turning the front crossbar around so technically it was backwards. The eyelet in the middle (for a reflector or lamp mount?) No longer pointed 90°, and the last bottom curve was now in the opposite direction afterwards, but it allowed for good mounting points and a flat (horizontal) mounting position for the panniers. Many rides later it has shown no problems. I did also have to use spacers (3d printed 8mm thickness). Good luck to you.
