just switched to squirt on a new chain and it sounds louder than before. Is this caused by the wax or something else? thanks

Is it on backwards or is it run through the derailleur wrong? I’ve seen a lot 1000 posts on here where people feed their chain through the derailleur on the wrong side of the little tab between the pulleys.
It sound sexy to me. absolute normal.
It sounds find to me, but definitely check the chain direction. One thing to keep in mind is that the first few times you wax, the wax doesn’t tend to stick particularly well. I’m not sure why. It gets better over time. I used Squirt for a long time (over 10 years). It was never as smooth as hot waxing for me, but it was on par with oil.
Chain is on backwards, the shimano writing have to face outside and not towards the frame.
