Was an amazing trip, took a total of three days because i hung out in nederland for an extra day. A few locals told me this was a dangerous route. Im from coastal northern California so im used to curvy roads with 0 shoulder. All my "paniers" are DIY (zip ties +bucket) and a Walmart bag with my small accordion on the other side.
Definitely had too much weight on the backtire but still was able to get 15-32 miles per charge.
There was a few areas with no businesses that I could charge at so I did ask a random cool homeowner to use his outlet. I like getting to meet new people along and taking a two hour lunch so ebikes are a good option for me.
Let me know if anyone has any tips for me for my next trip

Hell yeah! Love seeing people just getting out the and getting the damn thing done!
I am constantly amazed at how many “cyclists” here think routes like that are dangerous. It seems like it’s mostly people who have moved to riding MTB or gravel because they are fearful of cars, so now they tell anyone who will listen that any paved route will kill you.
For the record, I’ve published a series of “bucket list” Colorado road rides and about half of them include comments from people saying the route is too dangerous and people should ride some dirt road instead. -sigh-
But also, while I think descending Boulder Canyon (Hwy 119) is fine, even a hardcore road rider like me will no longer ascend on that one. The traffic and speeds are nuts.
