Jamis Gravelbike Renegade A1 28, found at a swiss supermarket 630chf.

I want a cheap gravel bike for commuting on something confier than an old racebike, and to go touring time to time, and this bike seems to have decent mount options and perf / performance ratio.

The specs are the following: Shimano Essa 8 speed,Tektro C550 disk brakes, WTB Riddler tyres, 700 x 45 C, 11.2 kg.

What do you think of this bike, do you see a better option currently on the market ? I'm also wondering if putting tubeless tires on this bike might be possible, it's hard to tell from the description and searching online.

Shimano Essa is really the bottom of quality. Can you spec it with Cues or even SRAM? Mechanical disc brakes are simple but also not so good. Tires are really nice actually. If this is your first bike like this I would buy it. Tubeless depends on the rims. In that price range I wouldnt expect it. Just make sure to choose the right frame size. Thats the most important part. Ideally get a professional fit to make the most of it. Good luck and have fun!
