  1. Zooming in on the cracked sidewalls of the old tires. This was definitely a good upgrade

  2. Nice!

My daughter is the opposite – absolutely no pink allowed. We found the frame she wanted (Trek step through, even at 7 she didn’t like climbing over a bar) at a thrift shop, next stop hardware store for forest green spraypaint, gold glitter spray, and clear.

She helped clean up and sand and tape and spray. She rode that bike til her knees were hitting the bars.

That’s awesome! When I was a little boy and my dad took me to get my first bike I was so disappointed in how bland the color schemes were for the boy bikes. It wasn’t a masculine/feminine thing from my perspective, I just thought all the brightly colored girl bikes with a lot of flair looked way cooler!

I ended up choosing a bright yellow girls bike covered in painted flowers, shiny handle bar streamers, and a big pink basket hahaha.
