Tour season usually starts in April during Easter holiday. What I love most about these tours is the snow capped Făgăraș mountains we get to enjoy. What I enjoyed a bit less was the actual snow on day 3. But hey, you win some, you lose some.

This is me in the pics! Peter’s tour was off the charts incredible. From the quiet single track mountain and meadow cycling, to the medieval cities and history, this was the best experience I could hope for on a guided tour. Peter has ridden and explored every route option to cater to his guests on an individual basis and maintain positive experiences day by day. His personal knowledge of the terrain and culture is something you simply cannot come by without a guide. The food and lodging was an experience into historical transylvania as well with multiple home stays and home cooked meals. His trusty sidekick and driver, Robbie, was a lovely bonus as well providing laughter, insight and knowledge from his own experiences. 11/10 would recommend Peter and Wire Donkey tours for any of his offerings.
