I had this on my Lux Trail. In the end it wasn’t the damper, but the cable routing tubes rubbing on the inside of the frame.

Wenn nicht kann es sein das der Dämpfer eine Wartung braucht.
My SJ makes the same sound when riding. It sounds similar to the transmission shifting gears, right? I think it’s the Genie pushing air through ports between chambers but that’s just a wild guess. Anyway, been several months now and zero issues.

If i remember correctly its just the dust wipers and various seals inside the shock making that “zipper” noise, i had a float X that made the same noise and its nothing to worry about
Sounds pretty normal, unless you are referring to the bird sounds, in that case very abnormal.
New float factory with same annoying zipper sound. Went for a warranty check. They said it was fine and some of the new models make that noise now.
