Sandy Carson is an un-sung hero of the scene. Another member of the early DIG editorial and photo staff who were seemingly always in the mix of everything you actually wanted to see at the time. Having a section in Grounded is wild, I really enjoy snakebite hitting us with these nostalgic reminders
Sandy's coolest moment tho.. Featuring in the first road fools and also alongside another Scot, photographer Ed Doherty. A new epicentre would form – an unrivalled and absurd escalation of progress would unravel. With all the proper editorial and photographic legend to follow.
When you query in this sub or quote washed up rider opinions via youtube or insta. Take a breath. Sandy and Ed hopped on a dream at a time when crews were possibly as small as 3 or 4 people. Their work is a now a timeless legacy and funnily enough the banner they flew under, DIG, is also still here as the realest.
Guy gets glassed in a Scottish housing scheme, collects a compensation claim and uses that money for a move to Austin Tx. Then earns a part in Etnies Grounded..

Sandy Carson, an OG.
I might be wrong but, he had already a part in Forward right ?
did not know his back story. was familiar with his massive curved wallride up to pegs on TOP of a tall, long wallride in Santa Ana though. very respectable after riding it in person. that was also when curved wallrides were fairly new so it was especially impressive.
not a fan. i asked him for an autograph and he told me “go buy an EBTG album instead, wanker”
