Facebook algo trying to ragebait me into engagement. I guess it got me.
There is something to be side for bikes not belonging on the sidewalk. Its an infrastructure issue. Reporter is silent on pedestrian injuries and fatalities of course and won't opine on the reason bikes are deciding to ride on the sidewalk rather than in the street with cars.

It is frustrating how ridiculously carbrained local media seems to be. In my Canadian city, it feels like the only local coverage of cycling is similar to this, or people raging about bike lanes and infrastructure. Engagement bait for their target audience, I suppose.
I’m not American, the article isn’t available in my region, I just wanted to say I’m surprised by how narrow these sidewalks look.
Some people just hate all bicycles. They don’t want to say it, so they say “they shouldn’t be riding *here*”.
I guess they should be inside on their phones?
Perhaps that reporter should also have circled that narrow suicide strip on the left where he/she seems to suggest they should be biking instead
