I picked this bike up second hand, and later discovered the seatpost was crushed. Doing a bunch of research on the BMC bike archive it looks like this is a MY 2019 Roadmachine 01 ONE.
According to that it uses a "Seatpost: Roadmachine 01 "D" Premium Carbon | 15mm offset". Purchased a new "D-Shape Seatpost (DS5 seatpost profile)" directly from BMC, and it definitely does not fit, as it's a true D-shape, with a square/flat bottom.
Continuing to research (stare and compare really), it looked like the more correct tube shape was the "D-shaped seatpost for Kaius 01", with a more tear drop taper to the bottom. This also is a slightly different diameter and is too large for the seat tube, getting stuck at the top. The original damaged tube slides in and out easily as I'd expect.
BMC support has barely responded over the last 2 weeks since I reached out to them. Hoping someone here might be able to point me to the correct part?

Did someone try to insert a standard round seat tube in there ? There looks like there is some damage in the seat tube slot?
