I found this mountain bike that seems like it would be out of my price range if it wasn't broken but right now is only $300 with some room for negotiation, is it worth it? Looks like maybe a 2020 cube reaction TM and I'm glad to put in the time and effort to fix it if it won't cost me an arm and a leg. Any advice is welcome, thanks!

Would not pay more than 100 for that, new parts & servicing will cost you 100 – 200+
If you are lucky this is fixed pretty cheap. The part, that’s broken ist the derailleur hanger, not the derailleur itself.
