Seixas is the real deal still half a yard slower than Pog but probably better than Pog was at 19 so he can get to number one but not this year.

Seixas weight is about Sixty kilo. If he can hold this weight , he is able to win the Tour de france
Other factors are hugely important, such as bike handling and accident avoidance (which should favor Seixas since he does cyclocross) and then, of course, sports psychology: Sexias has to want it more than anything else if he is going to survive the mental challenge of training and performing year in and year out; not to mention the enormous pressure France will be exerting on him to win #tdf.

A 19 ans, Paul Seixas a déjà réalisé des temps canons sur le mur de Huy, par exemple. Avec Pogacar, ils ont explosé le record d'ascension de la Redoute sur LBL… Il peut donc suivre Pogacar sur 3 ou 4 minutes sans problème. Sur les Strade, s'il n'avait pas du boucher le trou deux fois (Pidcock déraille, puis Del Toro fait le trou pour protéger l'attaque de Pogacar) pour revenir sur Pogacar, il aurait probablement pu le tenir. EN revanche, c'est sur la répétition de ce type d'efforts qu'il semble plus limité, comme on l'a vu dans la Roche-aux-faucons. Autre problème, sur des courses par étapes, quelles sont ses capacités de récupération? On a vu sur le Tour du Pays basque que les deux dernières étapes, il était nettement moins dominateur. Pour moi, il ne doit pas aller sur le Tour de France pour viser le maillot jaune, mais plutôt en visant le maillot blanc et la 3ème place derrière Vingge et Pogi. S'il essaie de suivre Pogi à chaque étape, il va exploser et ne terminera peut-être même pas le Tour. Pour un jeune de 19 ans, le maillot blanc reste un super objectif. Et en 3ème semaine, une fois qu'il aura plusieurs minutes de retard, il pourra jouer une échappée et une victoire d'étape. Surtout s'il a réussi à garder un peu de fraicheur.
Definitivamente es el sucesor de Pogacar, pero para derrotarlo debe esperar un par de años. Tal vez en el 2028 le puede ganar el tour de Francia. Saludos desde Colombia.
