That looks ๐! ๐๐ผ, the infrastructure where I’m at is absolutely ๐ฅ.

This looks awesome! I’d love to just take a few hours and see the city. I’m from a small town in the midwestern US and cycling infrastructure is nonexistent in my town. Have to share the road with motor vehicles, many with drivers who don’t feel bicycles should be on ‘their’ road. It’s OK most of the time though.

Very similar to Sao Paulo tbh.

It’s 1000x better than Omaha Nebraska USA, which has exactly zero miles of protected bikeways and a cycling deathrate 500 times higher than NYC.

This looks heavenly compared to where I live, which has a short, unprotected bike lane in the most random spot and 4 or 5 bike racks. Wish we had similar infrastructure here.

Youโre safe riding in the middle of the road?ย

Any hills there?

Very similar to Brisbane, Australia (Australia), to be honest. Especially the great bike path suddenly transitioning to the middle of a 6 lane highway.
It is interesting you have to explain what continent Ethiopia is in, growing up here it seemed like the poster child for Africa

Wow the city looks beautiful.

Those lanes and that city are beautiful. Pisses me off so much every time I see this kind of thing, that we here in USA canโt have that, because we have to have all the explodey things to kill people in other countries.

I live in Canada and I genuinely dont think there’s a single bikelane in the province. This would be a dream to cycle.

This looks awesome actually, as if I didn’t already want to visit for the food. I also always appreciate courteous drivers. There’s always a bad driver but it looks like people are used to accommodating bikes in city lanes and I appreciate that.
I live in a much smaller city in Northern California but I’m grateful for all the protected paths we have around town. I can get just about anywhere without having to share a lane in busy traffic -and I was kind of surprised when I moved here how courteous drivers are when I do, and how much space they give you. I’ve certainly lived in worse places.

Do I want to go to Ethiopia? This looks CONSIDERABLY nicer than what I might have imagined.

Very nice. I would love to go to Ethiopia

Seems comparable to Minneapolis where I live. Some of our greenways are former rail lines, so they look a bit different and there arenโt always great views, but the utility is the same.

This is a great video right? We should have more videos like this. My rides look like corn, for MILES!

that looks really nice. There are a lot of transition areas that need work but that’s wonderful and vibrant and inspirational
And they say the U.S. is a first world country
That looks truly beautiful.
Damn, Addis has changed a lot since I was last there. Thanks for this cool vid.
I bet that altitude hits nicely especially in the winter months with all those diesel trucks.
I live in Houston,Tx and it is a million times worse than what you have ๐ I am so jealous!
Seems like the climate in Addis Abada is similar to San Diego. No wonder the cycling is so great there.
