The Rose Shave FFX might just be the best value aero road bike you’ve never heard of.
It weighs just over 6.6kg, feels every bit as fast as any other pro race bike we’ve tested and costs thousands less than most of its competitors… So what’s the catch?
In this video, Simon von Bromley gives his review of this brand-new road bike and explains why it will leave some riders disappointed, despite its amazing performance.

Honest reviews for the win
Such a shame the paintjob is only good for staring at when you don’t catch sleep!
Look just like my friend's Twitter bike he bought at $600
Can you get in the states yet?
The 2018 SPECIALIZED VENGE would like to have a word with that shameless imitation
Thoughts on this bike? 👇
The specs are not up to date (175mm cranks in size L) and too expensive to adjust to a proper fit afterwards. Canyon offers at least free customization options (Cockpit width, cranks) here with their Abroad.
I think it is worth mentioning that beside the Shave FF race model there is also a more endurance-oriented model called just Shave.
No shipping options to the US 😢
OK, the bike is cool, but put in the shade by the coolness of the Mapei casquette
Great looking bike
White bikes white shoes….getting old
I believe they save money by applying no graphics and offering in a blah gray color. It’s like a bike that isn’t finished
We need to add some bright colors, because the bike looks really dull in this color
for once, when I'm informed that I've never heard of a bike it's correct.
Still way overpriced. You can build sub 6.3kg bike including pedals with Quick pro, Incolor, Seka, Avenger (naming a few) frameset with XMCS, DFS, ZEN (naming a few) wheelset, Ultegra di2 groupset just swapping heavy cranks for something lighter from Elilee or Cyberei and pay under 5000 euro. And before someone whines about "made in china"…remember all those bikes made there.
As a german i heard a lot of this bike lately.
If you want it to be that light, it's actually not much cheaper than the street price of even a premium option like a Trek Madone Gen8 with Dura Ace, but opposed to the latter, the Rose comes with questionable quality, zero customizabilty (whereas the Trek literally get's built by hand and fitted onto the buyer, from handlebar width over stem length, saddle width, crank length, type of tires, rims, handlebar tape, bottom bracket, cassette – you name it) pretty much zero service and (given the price point) abysmal warranty. Thank you, but if I spend 8000 bucks on a road bike, I'd rather get it tailor made and with lifelong warranty, perfect service close to my home and free coffee.
Not available in the UK though as they are only showing the Backroad gravel bike
Just looks like an open mould 🤷♂️
The bike manufactures are in for a big surprise, when people realize that energy costs are not going down anytime soon. Disposable income 😂
Can get a Canyon in the USA and customize the stem length, crank length, paint job, and a few other things for not much more money. When you factor in having to replace the stock cranks, at a minimum, you're basically at the same price as a Canyon Aeroad. I'd want 165mm SRAM Red cranks. Those alone are $440 at full retail cost. And then if you want a different length stem on the Rose Shave FF, you're most likely looking at another $400 to $500. For nearly $10,000, these should be configurable IMO. This is 1 thing that Canyon does well IMO, in their top-tier offerings.
How Rose does it ????? They know plastic bike shouldn't be cost that much
Or build a Evolve Cima or Seka Spear RDC for $6k USD and they will be lighter and faster…. PLUS, you will have the exact crank lengths, bars, etc that you want and need.
