Exploring Champagne France by Bike 🇫🇷🍾 Europe Roadtrip
In this episode, we explore Champagne, France by bike during our Europe roadtrip. Instead of heading to Reims, often considered the capital of the Champagne region, we chose the quieter town of Épernay, looking for a more relaxed and scenic experience.

After a short stop in Brussels, we continue south into the Champagne region and find a beautiful wild camping spot in Épernay with the help of Park4Night, where we spend the night. From there, we drive to Cumières and cycle along the river before climbing up to Hautvillers, the village where Dom Pérignon once lived, enjoying champagne tasting, local food, and stunning views along the way.

We visited in early spring, before the vineyards had fully come to life, which made the experience calm and peaceful with almost no crowds. At the same time, you can imagine how beautiful it must be here when everything is in full bloom and the grapes are hanging from the vines.
This is a different way to experience Champagne – beyond the typical tourist spots, exploring the region by bike and taking in the landscape at a slower pace.

In the next episode, we continue our Europe roadtrip towards the French and Swiss Alps. But before we get there, we stop in Annecy and discover an unexpected little gem along the way.
