So I need to step up my game and after this send (I'm one of the only 4 people that jumped it according to de guy that maintains the jumps) my friend were begging to put one of their full face helmets on and I said no bc it would throw me off bc of jumping all day with a normal helmet and I would love some help in what helmet to get i cant be high end or low end like in the middle and idk if to get a full face or a full face that dismantles bc where I live and what I do (long enduro routes and ocasional bikepark dirtjumps) a full face will kill me with heat and a normal helmet will not be enough so what should I get? And if you wonder the jump is 7m and is super gnarly

Well vented full face. Lots to choose from. Try them on.
Happy with my Fox Proframe RS, but by no means the only good choice.
Just stick with well known (mtb) brands and you should be fine.
Full on down hill helmets are usually overkill and just have worse ventilation.
Ive been loving my fox proframe rs (had it for a couple years now). Its well ventilated while riding at any decent speed. It can get hot if you are just standing in the sun for example but just taking it off in those situations is like a habit for me now i dont mind it.
I used to ride with a fox speedframe pro when i was doing more trail based stuff. I looked at helmets that have a detatchable chin bar but people told me that they got it thinking that theyd use it as a full face and as a half shell depending on weather for example but in reality they always use it as a full face. And after riding with a full face, a half shell doesnt even feel like a proper helmet anymore – if ur gonna hit ur head its usually gonna be the front or side not the top so a half shell wont help much.
My advice to anyone is, unless you are doing really mellow long distance rides, just get a full face. If you have an issue with it getting hot while walking or smth just take it off and hold it while you walk or balance it on the top of ur head its really not much on an issue – especially when you consider the safety benefits.
Get a full protection fullface, not a light version. With speed, it’s not hot.
Leatt is what I ride
Full face. Not the one that dismantles. IXS Trigger FF is my recommendation. Adjustable fit. Really good breathability as it’s designed for enduro – I never feel hot in it pedalling up. It’s also incredibly light which is so important – getting a sore neck from a heavy helmet is the worst.
Also, sick jump!!
There’s a ton of good full face helmets out there. Get one with MIPS. You can look to see how it flranks on the Virginia Tech rankings, but I have found that their full face section isn’t very complete.
I ride with the 7idp Project 23 Carbon. There’s good deals on it, it has their own version of MIPS, and has cheek pads you can change sizes on
Definitely full face. IXS Trigger has been the go to for years as a bang for your buck. Love mine. But it may not fit you well and that’s what matters most. Helmets are one of those things it’s worth buying in person even if you have to spend a little more compared to online. A large fits different amongst brands much differently than it does a t shirt.
Ixs trigger mips ff is highly recommended in this sub. I have one also also after finding out that the fox proframe and tld stage didn’t fit me well. Ixs is perfect for me.
Because nobody rides full face in the desert /s
We’re talking about your life and your face here dude. Wear it.
Walmart half shell
Troy lee designs Stage
You can find them on sale for like $250 or less. Its the lightest weight full face ive used and sometimes i trail ride with it.
Virginia Tech has tested a few full face helmets if you are looking for additional testing being done on a lid. However, beyond that, usual suspects involve Fox, Specialized, POC, O’Neal, and Leatt. Pick a price point that works for you, remember more money doesn’t necessarily mean more protection, BUT generally a more comfortable fit comes with shelling out some coin.
