Highlights from stage 7 of the Tour de France 2023. Only Paris has hosted more stages than Bordeaux, but the city has not been visited by the race since 2010. This year, it welcomes a flat 169.9km stage from Mont-de-Marsan, and should be another day for the sprinters to do battle.

Radio communication with the riders during the race should be banned. It makes the racing so predictable. No surprises, no clever driving… boring.

Cav kept glancing at Philipsen instead of just keeping his head down and concentrating on going for the line instead of worrying about who was coming up on him, unless his gears were playing up like he said

J. Philipsen has been given official approval by the Judges to ride recklessly across the road after doing it now for three sprint races.
So First win pushes Van Art into the barrier, second win looks like he shoved Jacobsen who then crashed, and MvP pushes Girmay and gets relegated, third win puts Girmay into the barrier, in fact went from the left side of the road to the right. When is this guy going to be relegated?
Wow! A few years ago, Cav would have pulled away and easily took the win. Time waits for no one!

I can admire talent, but not deviation. Philipsen has a different set of rules to the Peloton. MVdP was relegated (pointlessly) for far less on the last sprint.

Nice to see the Eritreans have quietened down after past season or 2 saying bini is the best and I'm writing this the day of stage 11 and we still haven't seen anything decent from him!!! I can understand being proud of a cyclist and rooting for your countrymen but 80% of the fans of bini are not fans they are just national lists that don't know a damn thing about the sport and how it works and to show respect to other people and towards other riders. Bini is not the Superstar everyone from Eritrea is claiming him to be 😆 💯
