So I leaned my body back to put most of my body weight on the rear tire. But as I don't have a dropper post in my bike, I didn't push down my seatpost (as I have a clamped rear mudguard which prevented me from doing that). So while going down, my saddle kicked up on my stomach and I think that is what made me lose my grip on the pedals. Although I am grateful to the mudguard as it saved my ass, literally, from being grinded down by the rear wheel.
Is my analysis right ?

Never start at the “cliff”
Always get some rolling meters where you can position yourself right on the bike before sending it
Every descent you can walk away from is a good descent.
Have some faith in your tires haha
More neutral body position and put some weight on your arms
First and foremost: you ended upright, it counts as a success! But what exactly was you plan here?
Still sent it tho
I can promise you your assessment of what made you lose grip in the pedals is just the last step in the chain.
Don’t try and jump on the bike at the roll in. That was mistake number one. Give yourself at least a bike length, if you can’t do that angle the bike so you are not rolling before you are established.
You don’t need to hang off the back of the bike like that, in fact it makes everything worse. Everything.
You want to keep your hips high and over the saddle. Hinge at your hips to drop your chest down – chin above the stem. It will feel like you are over the front of the bike but that’s good because without weight on the front of the bike you can’t steer. As evidenced by your video.
Trust your bike. Trust your tyres. Let it roll and modulate your braking so as not to lock anything up.
Drop saddle a bit more
Still on the bike at the end, full send delivered 🫡
Mission failed successfully 🤣
I thought this was gonna end much worse.
No, you did send it, just not in the manner you were hoping for.
It’s not a failure if you can walk back to try again (especially if you can do it with the same bike).
Yeah, perhaps, but that huge freaking rock at the bottom is pretty intimidating!
You didn’t get hurt!
For me it seems like when I hesitate like this, that is when I injure myself. Put a foot down, snag a pedal, lose balance, etc. I try my best to just go for it now and trust the bike or avoid it all together 😂
Muddian Biking
Oh you sent it alright
Relax,,🚀
didn’t look like you were ever on your pedals haha but looked like a fun slide
You’ll nail it next time bro! Is this Wales?
Dude. You were so unsteady at the beginning how did you think you could handle it once it was moving?
Respeck that you don’t call that a send, but that was a clean, successful save. Well done.
Looks like you are making this harder than it needs to be. Thats not a dropper level, um….drop.
Just stay off the brakes (or slight rear break) focus on steering (I would have gone right btw the stones) and just let it roll out. You kinds picked the rutted line vs the green or less worn stuff.
Sendn’t.
You kept it upright though!
You just need to commit. The moment you hesitate you may as well walk it
