Hello,
I'm new to bromptons and the sturmey-archer hub.
Today I had my back wheel off for the first time to change the tire. Everything was seemingly going well until it came to the gear indicator adjustments.
I noticed, when pushing the bike backwards, that it is skipping weirdly in the fastest hub gear (gear 3). I've taken everything apart and put it all back together for the same result and I am scratching my head on where to go next…
See video- I start in hub gear 2, everything seems normal, then switch to hub gear 3 where you will spot the strange motion in the hub.
Any suggestions on next steps would be greatly appreciated, I've tried my best here!
It also is probably important to note that the bike is riding fine across all gears, smooth-fast shifting, just notice something weird when pushing backward.
Brompton hub skipping in 3rd gear when rolling backward?

Normal behaviour.
Pawls at the driver unit were retracted by actuator plate. this may happen on other gear posistion as well.
[This video explains that](https://youtu.be/eIgNrHSSHFI)
If the bike rides well after putting back all things and the indicator chain properly adjusted there is nothing much to worry. SA hub has generous tolerance on hub indexting.
Completely normal. Just one of the quirks with the gear hub
How often do you ride backwards?
thats notmal in all kinds of IGs
Adjust the gear indicator?
