I do 200km every week and the daily commute is getting taxing. I am probably improving but the percieved effort is high at times. It has been 4 weeks since the beginning of my biking season and I am feeling physically exhausted.

I like to exercise until exhaustion, but everyday all day is rough. I am still doing micro adjustments on my setup and I have not reached the point of true comfort.

  1. Ebike so you can customize how intense the ride can be, set it harder some days and easier when you’re tired and just need to get there

  2. It’s warmer this time of the year where I am so it might be dehydration. How’s your part of the world?

  3. If you can, maybe commute by car / public transit two days a week? So, 3 days biking, 2 days other mode. That’s how I do it and it’s much more pleasant than forcing yourself to bike everyday.

  4. Company recently switched from 2 to 3 days in person per week minimum. It’s so demoralizing to have to fight the cars, weather, and hills just to sit in a cube on my computer in a building that’s cold as fuck and ultimately accomplish relatively little to nothing versus if I just locked in at home without all these distractions sapping all my energy.
