Hi sean and emily, I was riding this route 35 years ago, long before it was ever thought of, I have read it is no fun now as its packed with caravans and campers, back in the day i could ride for 4 hours and see about 4 cars, pure bliss, but the scenery all over the Highlands is stunning, and I am so lucky that almost every time I tour Scotland on my motorcycle 🏍 I have blue sky and sunshine 🌞 and very few wet days, and it was 9 years of coming up before I had a wet day, i probably should be in the Guinness book of records 😂. Never considered the NC500 a dangerous road. Some of the utter pillocks on it yes but not the course.
One of the best rides I’ve ever done. Apart from people that can’t drive RVs
