It is missing a sign “Free bike” or at least “Please steal this bike”

At least it limits extremely short criminals from being able to steal it

The U pillar is missing the top and down part.
Now the thief can just lift the bike, and it looks it can be used with the locked lock in place. People are stupid.

Damn I had a bad dream last night that my bike got stolen

Thank God he invested in a lock that is worth more than the bike.

This looks like something someone would do when they’ve been cramming all night and then were late for the exam.

The lock costs more than the bike?

Perception is key. It’s “locked”. I saw a similar one a few weeks ago.

I had a really crappy bike freshman year of college. At one point, I was in a rush and there was no more space to lock up the bike outside the classroom. I left it unlocked. No one stole it. It was definitely not worth stealing.

That would have worked with my Worksman Retro Cruiser. Clocking in at 61 lbs, would have made this an effort.

Took a moment to see it. I was going to say he left his bike perpendicular to all the others🙄

I’ve been in campus policing for many years, and I see this sort of thing all the time. Kids don’t seem to understand the basic mechanics of such things.

I love the ~~HOPE~~ in this picture.

Lifting the bicycle up over the short pole and walking away with it, (back wheel lock. Can’t ride.) Edited for correction.

Hey I just got one of these! So far best bike lock I’ve ever had. way more convenient and ergonomic. I bought the Seatylock/Foldylock from amazon

Obviously, the bike can just be lifted off the pole, and whoever the their is could remove the lock later.

Is it the reflectors still in the wheels? 😉

I was in a rush and this is how I locked my bicycle. It only dawned on me when left class ðŸ˜ðŸ˜. (It’s nothing compared to the photo though)
Not enough parking
