    Aw, that sucks.

Some must do it for shits and giggles, otherwise why would they steal a rimbrake wheel in the disk era…

Either safety bolts and carrying the opener in the keychain or a second lock does the trick for this type of thief.

  2. This is the reason I have a 180cm lock for front wheel plus frame and a rear wheel frame lock.

  3. This motivated me to buy Hexlox axles. I’m extremely sorry for your loss. Bigger inconvenience than anything tbh. Karma will get that sucker back.

  4. To offer a glimmer of hope; I’ve taken my front wheel off after locking my bike to lessen the appeal to thieves. Don’t do this with too crappy of a bike tho cause it may also get picked apart because it appears as fair game.

  5. Damn I pass that spot (St Paulsgatan?) on my commute everyday.. Sorry for the wheel 🙁

Same happened to me some time ago. After I bought a new wheel, I found the stolen one thrown in a bush 100 m from where it was stolen. It also means I have one too many front wheels, send a DM if you want it 🙂

Edit: I’ve seen an awesome Surly troll (or was it KM…) locked in the same spot! Not yours is it?
