  1. The bus crash occurred in Eastleigh, Hampshire, on the morning of 26 June 2025, involving a double-decker bus carrying students from Barton Peveril Sixth Form College. The incident happened around 10:00 BST on Bishopstoke Road, when the bus was seen swerving through traffic, mounting the curb, and eventually crashing through railings into the River Itchen.

The 69-year-old male bus driver and a 16-year-old girl remain in serious condition in hospital. 19 students from the college were on board at the time. Most suffered minor injuries. Three students who suffered serious injuries were later discharged from hospital. Both the bus operator (Bluestar) and police are conducting investigations into the cause of the crash. Early indications from the driver and witnesses suggest possible mechanical failure, but the official cause is still under investigation. A resident and one of the first on the scene, reported that the driver told her the accelerator was jammed and the brakes failed.

  2. Looks like he was steering around a few hazards , aiming to avoid other motorists and obstacles, which makes me think there was a technical defect.
With medical problem he would have crashed with a more chaotic trajectory( no control whatsoever)?

  3. I know the full reason of this crash, this was because the breaks failed and the throttle jammed and it lost control, 20 people had minor injuries, 5 people including the Driver were taken to hospital with non life threatening conditions
