  1. What’s your rim tape like? Those dimples look to be the tube expanding into the spoke holes of the rim

  2. That happens to mine too. But they definitely don’t explode. So I guess like yours but to a much lesser degree. You probably need new/better rim tape.

    You need new rim tape. I have used medical tape, duct tape and even just many layers of cellophane tape (the regular office tape) with success, it just needs to be strong enough to bridge the gap. Butyl can handle more sharpness.

    This tube is dead though.

    Hey man, everyone is saying rim tape, but have you tried finding where the actual puncture is? Is it a snake bite (pinch flat), or is it at a dimple? I haven’t replaced my rim tape in 8 years on clincher rim brake wheels and my tape is similar, never gotten a flat from that being an issue. The other thing is, if you’re at 75 psi on 23-25mm tires, you’re likely too low (pinch flat). Can you confirm where the flat is?
