  1. How? This looks bad but maybe fixable? The frame its self doesnt look really damaged.

To be fair, you’ve also saved some weight.

  2. Dry-Procedure-1597 on

I’ve seen many bent hangers, but not completely broken ones.
How did you manage to break it completely?

  3. Happened to me twice on the same bike. The hanger (little aluminum part) is supposed to break instead of the carbon frame, so it’s made to be expendable and replaceable. Change it and you’re good to go.
Don’t do my mistake not to verify if the rear derailleur cage was straight (that’s how I’ve managed to break it twice)

  4. Looks like there is some small damage to the Frame. I am not sure how the Hanger is mounted/supported by the frame. If it isn’t applying force to the frame on this part, the damage is just cosmetic. If you want to be sure go to a bike shop and ask a mechanic.

  5. It does look like a good bit of damage to the frame and axle nut. I would definitely take it to a shop for a thorough inspection before just replacing the hanger.
