Have you seen this? https://www.reddit.com/r/bikepacking/s/zQY5SQvFSp
This was yesterday, and last night I posted on this /r,
What a surprise I had this morning to receive a lot of comments giving some tips about overpacking.
So I listened and got rid of 6kg4 (id say about 3pounds in special need measurement)
I packed a bag and sent it through postal services to my destination.
I got rid of clothes, card games ,extra towels, some cookware and tools.
I am going bare minimun for the most part, although i kept my bags, they are not filled to the top, and the ride feels much smoother
So thank you guys for the tips, and I wish you all a safe ride.
I have one question though, where should I put the kitchen sink?

When I read โcard gamesโ (plural) I had to laugh out loud
I am waiting for part 3.
You indeed are going bare minimum.. for three people.
Just kidding, wish you nothing but great experiences!
Appreciate the update! Keep em coming
YO I NEED THAT SEAT
I love the good humor OP! Keep riding!
My first treck I over packed vs my boys who bragged going up the hills. They came back begging for warm coffee in the morning and hot oatmeal! Some comfort is worth it!
Thanks for the picture of your kitchen sink ๐
Nice!
Tbh, I thought that that thing yesterday was just a shit post. Something to grab attention. I thought (no offense now): nobody can really be as stupid as that and go on a tour packed like that. It’s gotta be a prank.
But…
Well… Seems people are that stupid ๐๐
Enjoy your travel. More power to you, meant quite literally ๐ช๐ผ
That JBL speaker is way too big.
There are multiple optiong at a fraction of the weight more than enough for biking.
Get rid of it and get a much smaller one if you really need to. A JBL go weights at 180 grams and is plnety capable unless you want to rave at the camp site.
800 grams less than the JBL Charge i think you got there.
Those little pockets on the side of your frame bag are fabulous! Great for the small things you want RIGHT THERE without excavating for them.
