WRONG! chain should be on the other side of the tab. chain should not be rubbing that tab. that lower jockey wheel is way overdue for replacement. check if your cogs and chainring are also worn.

  2. The only thing that chain should touch on a rear derailleur is the jockey wheels.

    >Is this routing correct?

No, it’s not. It’s supposed to go over that plate, not under.

  4. if you wear the whole tab through it will become correct. looking at your tensioner it seems like that is your intention

  5. That not plastic. Your chain has been incorrectly routed for so long that it is eating the metal tab between the jockey wheels.

The good news is I got a tip for you on how to save a few watts 🙂

  7. Trust me mate routing at the moment is the least of your worries those jockey wheels were toast long ago

Chain routing is incorrect…. But the way those jockey and pulley wheels look, I don’t want to know what the cassette or the chain rings look like, also the chain stretch…

That’s not a pulley wheel anymore that’s just a wheel! if the pulley wheels have that much wear on them and with that tab being eaten away, you’re gonna need a new rear mech.

I’d honestly check with a LBS and have them inspect the drive train because I think you potentially have an expensive repair on your hands.

  10. At this rate we re gonna need a subreddit r/wrongsideofthetab similar to r/sandedthroughveneer

Good lord, you could kill someone with that pulley. How the fuck have you let it get that worn?
